Biographical information

Donna Daisy, Ph.D. combines her ten years as Executive Director of a large non-profit agency with twenty-five years experience as a therapist, counselor and workshop leader to provide the background for what she does best - - helping people rise above stress, adversity, and life challenges and creating the future they want.

Her doctoral studies on resilience, her clinical training in stress management and resilience at the Harvard Medical School Institute of Mind/Body Medicine, coupled with her work and life experience provide the basis for Donna’s book, Rise Above It: Five Powerful Strategies for Overcoming Adversity and Achieving Success.

Donna’s background as well as her more recent research on the topic of Aging Consciously and 10 years of observation of the lifestyles of Southwest Florida residents creates the foundation for her lecture series on Aging With Vitality: How to Add Years to Your Life and Life To Your Years.

Donna is a skilled lecturer and workshop leader who blends research, psychology, and life experience in a unique and powerful way. Her presentations are full of personal anecdote, humor, research, and practical exercises for both personal and professional growth. Donna can work with individuals or groups to produce a lecture, workshop, television presentation or article customized for you. Donna also provides staff trainings for organizations and coaches individuals on issues such as customer service, communication, relationships, empowerment, and coping with stress and change in the workplace.

Donna has been a presenter for many conferences including the American Psychotherapy Association National Conference, Personalized Physician Care, Inc. (Naples, FL), Illinois Business and Professional Women’s Conference, Opaa! Food Management, Women’s Network of Collier County, 2001, 2002, and 2003 BPW National Conference, Kentucky Association of Legal Administrators, St. Luke’s Hospital Association of Female Physicians, Rainmaker Association for Female Attorneys. Donna is a resident of Naples, Florida, formerly living in Greenville, Illinois. She is the wife of Charles, and the mother of three two-leggeds (David, Kathy, and Kim), one four-legged (Abby), and grandmother of five.
